1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "Client," or "you") and Parcel Post Jamaica ("the Company," "we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must not use our services.
Our services include, but are not limited to, freight forwarding, customs brokerage, package consolidation, air and sea cargo, and delivery services for packages originating from the United States and other international locations for delivery in Jamaica.
2. User Obligations
You agree to the following obligations:
- Provide accurate, complete, and current information when registering for an account and using our services.
- Ensure that all packages are properly declared with accurate descriptions and values. We reserve the right to inspect any package without notice.
- Comply with all laws and regulations, including but not limited to customs laws of Jamaica and export laws of the country of origin.
- Adhere to all payment terms and timelines for shipping, customs duties, and other applicable fees.
- Acknowledge that any packages found to contain prohibited items may be disposed of, returned to the sender, or confiscated by Jamaican authorities.
3. Prohibited and Restricted Items
The following items are strictly prohibited from being shipped through our service. This list is not exhaustive and is subject to change based on local and international laws:
- Firearms, ammunition, and explosive materials.
- Illegal drugs or narcotics.
- Perishable goods, including food and plants, unless a specific agreement is made.
- Hazardous materials (e.g., flammable liquids, compressed gases, batteries).
- Counterfeit goods or items infringing on intellectual property rights.
- Cash, currency, or negotiable instruments.
- Live animals or human remains.
4. Fees, Payment, and Abandoned Goods
All service fees, including shipping, customs, and any other applicable charges, must be paid in full before a package is released for delivery. We accept payment methods as specified on our website. Packages that remain unclaimed after a specified period (e.g., 30 days) may be considered abandoned and sold to recover costs or disposed of at the Company's discretion without notice to the User.
5. Limitation of Liability
Parcel Post Jamaica's liability for any loss, damage, or delay to a package is strictly limited. We shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages. Our liability, if any, shall be limited to the declared value of the package or a specified amount per shipment, whichever is less.
We are not liable for losses or damages caused by acts of God, force majeure, customs delays, government regulations, or any event beyond our reasonable control.
6. Claims Procedure
Any claim for loss or damage must be submitted in writing within 30 days of the package's arrival in Jamaica. The claim must include detailed information, including a copy of the invoice, tracking numbers, and photos of any damage. Claims submitted after this period will not be accepted.
7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Jamaica. You agree that any dispute arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Jamaica, located in or near New Kingston.
8. General
- Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.
- Entire Agreement: These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and Parcel Post Jamaica.
